So back again, and the gap was somewhat longer than anticipated. Perhaps a monthly update is more my speed, and given I'm posting this for my own purposes it doesn't matter too much. A progress update: The Fallschirmjager continue to progress slowly. Purchase for these of some decal softener and fix, this should apparently help with them not sitting nicely on the sleeves which will be good as I wasn't entirely happy with my test mini. I got 2 of the Artis Opus drybrushes for Fathers Day. Having watched some more videos and done a bit of test I'm pretty confident I can get a better result out of them than I normally do drybrushing, but it needs some practice as I'm currently horribly inconsistent. Also very very interested in using the stippling/drybrush combo for my larger 40k vehicles and potentially my Gloomspite army. Testing to come after the Germans are finished. Well it's been almost 2 weeks, so back to post. What's happened since last time? The Fallschirmjager continue to progress. It's still slow, and I honestly think they will look pretty rubbish until completely finished - so no WIP pic. But, still feeling motivated to do it, which is something I usually struggle with. I've played weekly games on Tabletop Simulator with a friend, Star Wars Legion last week. Enjoyed it very much. One problem I'm finding is that almost every time I play there will be a point where I get disconnected, not a problem with friends but it's put me off joining in the To the Strongest! group online. Having watched some videos on the Artis Opus drybrush range I am incredibly tempted. As a rule I drybrush bases and sometimes hair/fur, nothing else because I just don't like the finish, but the results on these look fantastic.
